Dr. Erika Millhouse-Pettis, Superintendent 

Dr. Erika Millhouse-Pettis is a seasoned educational leader with over 20 years of experience in the field of education. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, a Master’s in Educational Leadership, and a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction. Throughout her distinguished career, Dr. Millhouse-Pettis has demonstrated a passion for improving educational outcomes and advocating for students.

Dr. Millhouse-Pettis has served as the Special Education Director for 17 years and as the Superintendent for 6 years, where she has led transformative initiatives to enhance the quality of education and support diverse student populations. Currently, she continues her impactful work as part of the Sunnybrook School District 171, a position she has held since 2003. Her leadership is characterized by a commitment to academic excellence, inclusivity, and fostering a collaborative environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive.

Throughout her career, Dr. Millhouse-Pettis has been recognized for her strategic vision, strong leadership skills, and dedication to improving educational systems. She is passionate about creating innovative solutions that address both the academic and social-emotional needs of students.
